  • Survivor Speaker from 9-11 Terrorist Attacks On November 12th, 2015, we had a special guest speaker to our club.  Joe Dittmar, was on the 105th floor of Tower Two (South Tower) in the World Trade Center on September 11th.  He is was in an insurance business meeting with 54 other executives when the airplane hit tower one.   Joe is one of eight who escaped the meeting and made it out of the building alive.  Joe's personal account of the events that day were incredible, stunning and shocking all at once.  Joe travels around the country and shares his story as a way of keeping the lives lost that day alive and not forgotten.   Joe does not charge a fee to speak to groups.  Thank you ...

  • New Member Social in July On Friday, July 11th, we hosted our FIRST New Member Social at the lovely home of Cary-Kildaire Rotary Club members, Andy Wright and Sherry Nelson.  This was a time for new members from January 2014 all the way till now, plus any other club members who wanted to attend, to come together for an open discussion on ALL THINGS ROTARY!  A time to ask questions and find out MORE about the things you hear about each week but never really get to KNOW.  We had a delicious dinner, plus engaging conversation about Rotary and a tour of their house.  Such a fun night and we hope to make this a quarterly event for new members!
