Cash Bar will be open at 6:00PM for snacks, beverages and
socializing at BREW Coffee Bar, adjacent to The Cary Theater.

Special Presentations:

"Enough is Enough!  Why is there no effective treatment for
Alzheimer's disease and what can we do about it."

Dr. Carol Colton, Professor of Neurology, Duke University Medical Center

"Advancing the Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease by 2025"
Dr. Kathleen Welsh-Bohmer, Professor of Psychology & Neurology,
 Duke University Medical Center

About our Guest Speakers:

Dr. Colton is an Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation Harrington Scholar and an Alzheimer's Association Zenith Fellow.  Recently, Dr. Colton has begun to apply their research to
clinical treatment for Alzheimer's disease in humans. 

Dr. Welsh-Bohmer oversees over 200 psychologist at the Joseph and Kathleen Bryan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Duke.  Dr. Welsh-Bohmer and her team have actively designed programs to aid both persons with AD and their caregivers.

Special Guest:

Mark Hensley, with the NC Division of Aging & Adult Services for NC Department of Health & Human Services and Director of "Project C.A.R.E." (Caregiver Alternatives to Running on Empty)

Rick Carnauga, Rotarian and District 7710 Chairman, will deliver an update on C.A.R.T.
