Cary – Kildaire Vocational Service Award presented to Mary Henderson

The Cary-Kildaire Rotary Club was very proud to present Mary Henderson, Director of Parks and Recreation for the town of Cary, with its Vocational Service Award. Mary has been an employee of the town of Cary since 1981. Some of the items that the town has accomplished during her tenure:

Koka Booth Amphitheatre

USA Baseball

Cary Tennis Park

8 parks and 25 miles of Greenway Trails

Cary was named an NCAA Championship City in 2008

Mary was also instrumental in helping the Cary area Rotary Clubs with the Rotary Shelter project at Ritter Park in 1986.

Vocational Service involves serving our Community through ones’ chosen profession, aspiring to high ethical standards, sharing leadership skills and expertise… while inspiring others in the process. The Cary-Kildaire Rotary Club was proud to honor Mary for that she has done throughout her career to build a strong community.
